病变描述
牙本质中的嗜碱性颗粒（Figure 1、Figure 2）在NTP研究中罕见。它们是小而圆的嗜碱性球状物，在牙本质层内呈线性排列。在暴露于氟化钠2年的F344大鼠的predentin和dentin中曾见到此类颗粒。据报道，类似的沉积物代表牙齿/骨骼标本脱钙过程中形成的氟化钙结晶。

Comment：
Basophilic granules in the dentin ( Figure 1 and Figure 2 ) are rarely seen in the NTP studies. They are small, round, basophilic globules that occur in a linear pattern within the dentin layer. They have been seen in the predentin and dentin in F344 rats exposed to sodium fluoride for 2 years. Similar deposits are reported to represent calcium fluoride crystal formation that occurs during decalcification of tooth/bone specimens.
Recommendation：
Basophilic granules should be diagnosed and graded whenever present.
