病变描述
凝固腺（coagulating gland）萎缩表现为腺泡及衬覆上皮体积缩小。腺泡缩小和/或塌陷导致腺泡周围纤维肌肉组织更加显著。衬覆上皮细胞变薄，管腔内分泌物可能减少或消失。萎缩性改变可能与年龄相关，也可由去势或暴露于某些具有激素活性的外源性化学物引起。

Comment：
Atrophy of the coagulating gland consists of reduction in size of acini and of the lining epithelium. The ascinar reduction and/or collapse causes an increased prominence of the periacinar fibromuscular tissue. The lining epithelial cells are attenuated, and there may be reduction or absence of luminal secretory product. Atrophic changes may be age related and can be caused by castration or exposure to some hormonally active xenobiotics.
Recommendation：
Atrophy of the coagulating gland should be diagnosed and graded.
