诊断要点：间质合胞体细胞存在时应作出诊断并分级；若其发生率及/或严重程度似乎与受试物给药相关，则应在病理学叙述中加以讨论。
病变描述
合胞体细胞形成并不常见，文献中尚未见描述。间质合胞体细胞可能代表 Leydig 细胞或巨噬细胞。可使用 Periodic acid-Schiff 染色加以区分，该染色可使巨噬细胞着色，但不使 Leydig 细胞着色。该病变的发病机制及意义尚不明确。

Comment：
The syncytial cell formation is unusual and has not been described in the literature. The interstitial syncytial cells may represent Leydig cells or macrophages. These can be distinguished using a Periodic acid-Schiff stain, which stains macrophages but not Leydig cells. The pathogenesis and significance of this lesion are unknown.
Recommendation：
Interstitial syncytial cells should be diagnosed and graded when present and should be discussed in the pathology narrative if the incidence and/or severity appears to be related to chemical administration.
